YAY! THIRD TRIMESTER!!!! (that means 10-12 weeks left!) Here’s what BabyCenter says is going on this week:

By this week, your baby weighs two and a quarter pounds (like a Chinese cabbage) and measures 14.8 inches from the top of his head to his heels. He can blink his eyes, which now sport lashes. With his eyesight developing, he may be able to see the light that filters in through your womb. He’s also developing billions of neurons in his brain and adding more body fat in preparation for life in the outside world.

Here’s the update on the little guy who’s taking up more and more space and making it harder for me to get my socks on! LOL

This week, your baby weighs almost 2 pounds (like a head of cauliflower) and is about 14 1/2 inches long with his legs extended. He’s sleeping and waking at regular intervals, opening and closing his eyes, and perhaps even sucking his fingers. With more brain tissue developing, your baby’s brain is very active now. While his lungs are still immature, they would be capable of functioning — with a lot of medical help — if he were to be born now. Chalk up any tiny rhythmic movements you may be feeling to a case of baby hiccups, which may be common from now on. Each episode usually lasts only a few moments, and they don’t bother him, so just relax and enjoy the tickle.

Mother’s Day

Happy Mother’s Day one and all! I hope you had a fantastic day! For Mother’s Day from my kiddos, I asked that I get pictures of them on the beautiful golf course practically across the street from our house (practically). Here’s the outcome…I’m so proud to be the mommy to these beautiful and good (most days) kids. What a blessing they are to me! I can’t wait (and yet, I’m quite fearful of being outnumbered) when our next little one joins our family this summer. Thank you Stephen for helping bring these wonderful kids into our lives!

Happy Mother’s Day to all of the moms, now or in the future, in this world. And especially to my mom who I know has said a few of these things to us growing up and laughs now that I have to say them to my own kids! i know I wouldn’t have grown up to be the fabulous person that I am (okay, so maybe not fabulous but I do think I’m something special! LOL) if I didn’t have my mom (and dad). Thank you!

I love this video so I wanted to share it:

We’re getting closer! It’s crazy because for so long I wasn’t really feeling very pregnant and then with this little guy doing jumping-jacks in my belly reminds me that I’m much closer than I think I am. I could be having this little man in 12-14 weeks (hopefully not sooner…we don’t need another baby in NICU!) which sounds pretty far away, but then again, it will probably fly by…

The network of nerves in your baby’s ears is better developed and more sensitive than before. He may now be able to hear both your voice and your partner’s as you chat with each other. He’s inhaling and exhaling small amounts of amniotic fluid, which is essential for the development of his lungs. These so-called breathing movements are also good practice for when he’s born and takes that first gulp of air. And he’s continuing to put on baby fat. He now weighs about a pound and two-thirds and measures 14 inches (an English hothouse cucumber) from head to heel. If you’re having a boy, his testicles are beginning to descend into his scrotum — a trip that will take about two to three days.

When we lived closer, every Sunday night we would get together with Mike and Nicole and play games…I came across a few pictures of one of those nights so I wanted to make a page to document it! Here ya go….

Easter pics

So, these are NOT the best pictures – especially since there are computers and wires behind both of the kids. Oh well. Also some pics of the kids dying Easter Eggs. I’m really not good when it comes to holidays and keeping up traditions, but hopefully I’ll get better.

April 10, 2010 – We were able to attend JoJo’s (Joel) baptism. He started going to seminary and then took the missionary discussions.  We were so excited when he wanted to be baptized and wanted to be there to be a part of it. Here are a few pictures from before the baptism.

Head to heels, your baby now measures about 13 1/2 inches. His weight — a pound and a half — isn’t much more than an average rutabaga, but he’s beginning to exchange his long, lean look for some baby fat. As he does, his wrinkled skin will begin to smooth out and he’ll start to look more and more like a newborn. He’s also growing more hair — and if you could see it, you’d now be able to discern its color and texture.

So I’m thinking boys like to make me really awkward. This baby, like Spencer, likes my right side. Even my sister noticed that he was sitting weird. Steve even made a comment about how weird it would be if this boy looked just like him, just like Spencer. I’m kind of hoping for a hybrid child just so we can see what one would look like…but then again I think my hubby is oh so cute so I wouldn’t mind another mini-Steve. Yesterday I think I experience my first (even with the other two pregnancies) time getting kicked/hit in the bladder over and over again. What an odd feeling. Seriously. I don’t even know how to describe this tingly feeling that shoots every time it got hit…just weird.

So I’m not sure if this will automatically change on its own or not, but I figured I could try. Either way, here’s where we are:
