For those of you who have seen Dr Horrible’s Sign Along Blog – you’ll get a kick out of this. It’s AWESOME! It’s an 8-bit Dr Horrible!!! It’s only the first act but it’s so great! Click here to watch 8-bit Dr Horrible
So, I made an Easter page, just one of the kiddos together (I’ll be doing another one with Easter activities) and although it’s marked as “Done” – I’m still not satisfied with it. I can’t put my finger on it right now but before I print it I’m sure I’ll be making changes to it. Oh well, for now…here it is!
So we found a family for the birds…and I’m only a little sad. Our front room looks bare! We gave away the black couch, I took down the small pictures of family all over our wall and replaced them with larger pictures of our kids (and a floating shelf) and now the bird cage and stand are gone. All we have left is the rocking chair. We have plans…oh believe me we have plans!…for the space, but saving the money for it (after we get Steve a new car) is going to take some time. So, now we wait…and for those who visit…you get to sit on kitchen chairs! So be prepared! LOL
This morning I woke up and realized I wasn’t previously woken up by the small chirping of those birds (or on some days the loud chirping) and I know I’ll miss them a bit. They are fun animals and I wish we would have played with them more…but hopefully their new family will. Good luck Princess and Sunny!
So I’ve decided to give away our parakeets. First, since getting our cat, they haven’t had a lot of flying time outside the cage and I feel bad for them. Secondly, getting rid of the fish (and almost the tank!) and going through the office to prepare for the kids swapping rooms in prep for the baby, I’m ready to get rid of more stuff!
So, if you (those of you who are local) want or know someone who wants parakeets (cage, food, etc included) for free, get a hold of me!
Thanks!
So last Saturday while I was at work, Steve and the kids went to the weekly Stake basketball games. At the beginning of the game Steve took off with the ball and was on a breakaway…that was, until he went around an opponent and his break away almost became simply – a break. He was down with a rolled/sprained ankle and some of the ward men helped him off the court. We didn’t know how bad it was but Saturday and Sunday he iced and bandaged it. Come Monday he decided to make sure it wasn’t fractured or broken. Luckily there’s not any and the doc gave him and ankle brace. Look how lovely his ankles are!
The ultrasound tech was a little punchy when it came to taking the pictures. Sometimes she’d miss a really good shot – and I know the baby moved around a lot so it really wasn’t her fault…but especially when it came to the gender picture, she paused it at a few better spots to show us and then printed out a weird/different shot that made the bum and legs appear like they’re halfway missing.
FROG LEG (Evie says we were having a ‘boy frog’)
ARM – stretch!
FACE – He’s pulling a “I’m thinking” look (look at the hand placement)
20 weeks!!! I’m halfway there! And halfway closer to less sleep. 🙁 I’m SO not looking forward to the lack of sleep when the baby is born.
Your baby weighs about 10 1/2 ounces now. He’s also around 6 1/2 inches long from head to bottom and about 10 inches from head to heel — the length of a banana.
We go tomorrow morning to find out the gender and we’re SO excited! Evie asked if she could hold the baby. I tried explaining that the baby still needs to stay in my tummy for a while and that the doctor will take a picture of the baby through my tummy. I think tomorrow will be nice because the kids will be able to see that the ‘camera’ does not open my tummy or the baby does not come out, but it takes a picture through my skin. I think they’re excited…and I’m still shocked that Evie has changed her mind saying that it’s a boy now. She’s been so stuck on it being a girl.
